ICT cluster

The Knowledge and Innovation Community for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) cluster was established under an agreement concluded on June 5, 2007, in order to integrate the activities of universities, entrepreneurs and public institutions related to the ICT industry.
The objective of the cluster is to provide a platform of cooperation for Polish and European companies, institutions and technical universities operating in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT).

The main intention of its partners is to utilize the scientific and research potential and competencies of the cluster members through joint implementation of development projects. Cooperation of partners within the cluster focuses primarily on tasks aimed at increasing the competitiveness of companies in the IT industry and the advancement of scientific research for the development and implementation of the latest information technologies for the industry, as well as to provide education tailored to the needs of the labor market.

Members of the cluster include 59 companies and enterprises, 9 business environment institutions, 8 universities and 3 local government and R&D institutions, including WUST and WCSS.
The governing and controlling bodies of the cluster are the Community Council and the Steering Committee.
