PLATON consortium

The Platon consortium was established in 2008 in order to implement a project PLATON Science Services Platform, which was aimed at developing national technical infrastructure for science (the PIONIER network) with applications and services supporting scientific research and development works performed by Polish research teams.
Except WCSS, members of the consortium include also the members of the PIONIER consortium. As part of the project, the following service platforms were implemented for the scientific environment: Currently, the consortium performs works related to the maintenance and proper functioning of the implemented services.

WCSS activities as part of the PLATON consortium:
  • maintenance of the teleconference service
  • coordination of the eduroam service in Wrocław
  • support for the academic interactive HD television
  • support for the universal archiving service.
