Its most important task was preparation of specific computing environments, including services and extended infrastructure with software, and tailoring them to the needs of different groups of scientists. The new services are an important extension of PL-Grid infrastructure which has been built in Poland since 2008.
PThe project received funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme. It was carried out by the Consortium PL-Grid and was coordinated by ACK CYFRONET AGH.
WCSS coordinated the task of expanding the hardware infrastructure and was involved in operational activities, securing the infrastructure, developing and producing solutions for the „Nanotechnologies” domain grid, training and supporting users and expanding the application offer.
PLGrid Plus
STATUS: COMPLETED
PLGrid Plus project (Domain-oriented services and resources of Polish Infrastructure for Supporting Computational Science in the European Research Space – PLGrid PLUS) is a continuation of PL-Grid. Its main objective was to enable Polish scientific environments to collaborate extensively nationally and internationally on activities in the field of e-Science.
